Anika has developed a lifelong curiosity for the capabilities of the human body, manifesting first in ballet at the age of three. Through the years of intense ballet training she sought to find more balance and completed a yoga teacher training program, which had life changing effects on her. The injuries she experienced in her ballet career led her to massage therapy and towards a path of healing that she now hopes to facilitate in others.
Because of her background, she especially loves working with clients recovering from injury. She believes in a holistic approach to healing, and realizing the toll injuries take on more than just the physical body. Drawing from personal experience, Anika realizes the importance of injury prevention through consistent self care and believes massage can play an integral role in this practice. She values the ability to take a moment to pause in a fast-paced society and unwind from everyday stress.
Anika studied at East West College and practices Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Thai Massage, incorporating Craniosacral, Myofascial Release, and Muscle Energy techniques as well. Each client is seen as an individual and treatment plans are tailored to the needs and comfort of the client.
