sciatica

Sciatica is a condition caused by irritation to the sciatic nerve, which runs from your lower back through your hips and buttocks and down each leg. Sciatica may be experienced as pain, tingling, numbness or weakness in any or all of these areas. Sciatica may be caused by a tight piriformis muscle, a herniated disk, a slipped or displaced vertebra, or a narrowing of the spinal cord in the lower back, known as lumbar spinal stenosis. No matter the cause, the symptoms may be experienced as minor irritation to debilitating pain.

Some experts estimate that up to 40 percent of people will experience sciatica in their lifetime. If you are suffering from sciatica, we can help.
